What does it mean to be a young Kashmiri soldier in the Indian Army? More often than not, the images coming from Kashmir are of young men picking up stones to throw at security forces. Less often we hear of the 1,500 boys who join the Army annually. Regimental pride is immense, but they live in fear of what could happen to their families. The Lt General in charge of defending the Line of Control, in his first TV interview, talks about terror launchpads across the Line of Control becoming active once again and how the Indian Army keeps adopting new techniques to keep them at bay.
