Just months after announcing his semi-retirement from touring, Sammy Hagar returns with a powerful and emotional new single: Encore, Thank You, Goodnight., dropping April 25 via Big Machine Rock.

🎸 The inspiration? A dream about Eddie Van Halen.

Co-written with Joe Satriani and co-produced by Satriani and Eric Caudieux, the song serves as a heartfelt tribute to Hagar’s legendary years in Van Halen. It features Michael Anthony on bass with signature Van Halen-style backing vocals, and Kenny Aronoff on drums. Satriani delivers a soaring guitar solo that channels Eddie’s spirit while staying true to his own style.

“This song is my final bow to that part of my life,” says Hagar. “It’s a thank-you – with love, respect, and one hell of a guitar solo.”

💥 Fans will hear the song’s live debut at the end of the month during the kickoff of The Best of All Worlds Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live.
