Excuses can be valid but regardless it doesn’t change Jesus’ response. John 5 takes us to a story where a man had a lame excuse, literally. Jesus responds even still with a command, surprisingly no pity. Let that encourage us to still do what it is we’re called to do. Lame excuse or not!
