Exercise: Sound and Vibration

Welcome to ThruCast, a podcast developed and intended as an information resource for trauma experience and recovery.&nbsp; I am Jylian Sy, ThruCast’s creator and host.&nbsp; Each ThruCast segment will cover a single topic and will run approximately 30 minutes in length.&nbsp; The content for this podcast is derived from a five-phase process designed over my nearly 40 years’ experience working within the field of trauma and fear-related response process. My work in this field began in the early 80’s working with fear response and movement in the Bio lab at UC Irvine as an undergrad.&nbsp; The work expanded with gifted children, AIDS and cancer patients and rape survivors into the 90’s, and eventually moved into work with corporate executives, gang members, POWs and combat vets from 2000 onward. &nbsp; I hold certs in the following processes:&nbsp;Cognitive/Behavioural: Somatic Processing PTSD/CPTSD Breathwork Sound and Vibrational Therapy Hospice work Emotional Management: Anger Management Conflict Resolution Interpersonal Relationship Dynamics Bereavement Meditation: TM NLP Mindfulness Active Breath Creativity: Applied Creativity Play Process As a documentary producer, I have interviewed and produced individual combat and survival stories for veterans and POWs from WWII, Vietnam, Korea, Desert Storm and Afghanistan, some of which have been included the National Archives.&nbsp; As a performer, I have worked as a singer, dancer and movement instructor for as long as I’ve been working in the trauma field and a playwright and voice actor since the 90’s. Personally, I have survived sexual abuse, date rape and Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and I have participated in, and led individual, group, couples’ and trauma-specific therapeutic process for the last 26 years.&nbsp; These varied experiences have provided me with empathy, clarity, extensive training and a unique depth of understanding of trauma as an education platform and an individual retooling process.&nbsp; I am a lifetime learner and I continue to educate myself with cutting edge techniques related to the BodyMind, individual and collective trauma and vibrational therapy.&nbsp; Additionally, I script, record and produce customized content for my individual clients.
