Rest is a precious commodity in this busy world. But we're not referring to sleep. There is a rest in God.

In this episode of Identity Advantage, Daphne and Angie talk about finding time to be in God's presence without an agenda. Psalm 16:11 says, "You will show me the path of life; In your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore." It takes faith to sit in the presence of God--but faith is our greatest gift to God, so it should be no surprise that He rewards that time with rest.

Psalm 100:4 says, "Enter into His gates with thanksgiving..." In other words, the quickest way to step into that place where it's just you and God is by thanking Him. "Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it" (Hebrews 4:1). God has prepared times of refreshing for you and I--in His presence. May we enter His rest today.
