talk with artist Wouter Jaspers

EXHIBITED MUSIC exhibited is an exhibition about the EXHIBITED MUSIC project, which was shown at the end of June 2025 at the Fahrbereitschaft. It addresses the question of how a concert project can be documented today alongside the usual video and audio recordings. We answer this question with a documentary, site-specific installation centred around the KNM Quartet’s recording of Brian Ferneyhough’s 2nd String Quartet. The exhibition will be complemented by a live podcast that will take place in the installation.

Dutch artist Wouter Jaspers was responsible for the Physiological Rendering – Bio Sensor Imaging System.

Thomas and Wouter discuss his work and touch on questions such as live stream versus pre-recorded stream, ethics in art, and how and whether contemporary chamber music can be visualised.
