Suffering has been a main theme of what Peter is processing through in his letter to Christians. As he brings it to a close, he declares a command from God…may we rejoice in our suffering. As exiles in this world our ultimate joy is found in those that entrust their souls fully to Jesus., the One that has overcome the world through His own suffering.
