Éxodo 13: ¡No temas del plan de viaje perfecto de nuestro Padre!
Lee Éxodo 13:17-22:
20 Salieron de Sucot y acamparon en Etam, al borde del desierto. 21 El SEÑOR iba delante de ellos, de día en una columna de nube para guiarlos por el camino, y de noche en una columna de fuego para alumbrarles, a fin de que pudieran caminar tanto de día como de noche. 22 La columna de nube nunca se apartó de día de delante del pueblo, ni la columna de fuego de noche.

En este capítulo miramos a el pueblo de camino hacia la tierra prometida. Y como en todo viaje que el padre de familia prepara antes de ir a acampar, primero se cerciora que el viaje sea seguro para toda la familia. Asimismo, el Todopoderoso sacó a sus hijos de Egipto, llenos de oro, plata y mucho alimento. Además de esto, trazó una vía un poco más larga para evitar que el pueblo, recién salido de la esclavitud, no pasara por el país de los filisteos para que no tuviera ninguna confrontación. Dios conocía el corazón frágil de Israel, por eso los guió por otro lugar. También el Señor le dio confianza al pueblo de Israel manifestándose de día en una columna de nube y de noche en una columna de fuego para que así en el día tuvieran una sombra gigante y en la noche tuvieran una lámpara que los iluminara.
Remarco estos detalles porque quiero que no olviden que así es nuestro Dios cuando nos llama para que sigamos sus pasos. Él tiene un plan perfectamente diseñado para guiarnos y protegernos en el trayecto hacia la bendición. Para el pueblo de Israel era una jornada nueva donde se estaban dirigiendo, hacia el desierto y llegando al mar gigante, y después se encontrarán con enemigos, y no solo eso sino con escasez de las necesidades básicas como agua y comida.
En los siguientes capítulos vamos a ver cómo ellos dudaron, se desanimaron y hasta murmuraron contra Dios, Moisés y Aarón. Pero quiero que consideremos detalladamente que Dios tenía totalmente el control en esos momentos de pruebas. Cuando sintieron sed y hambre, cuando vieron serpientes y escorpiones en el camino, cuando salieron los amalecitas con espadas y arcos para atacarlos, cuando se encontraron al frente de una mar y no tenían barcos para cruzarlo, cuando vieron al ejército de faraón galopar con violencia en sus carruajes listos para esclavizarlos otra vez. ¡Dios tenía un propósito específico con cada uno de estos eventos!
Más adelante veremos que Dios solo quería ver lo que había en sus corazones, si tenían un corazón entregado y confiado en Dios o tenían un corazón rebelde e incrédulo.
Deuteronomio 8:15-16 dice: "Él es quien te hizo caminar por un desierto grande y terrible, de serpientes ardientes y de escorpiones; una tierra sedienta donde no había agua. Él es quien sacó para ti agua del duro pedernal. Él es quien te sustentó en el desierto con maná, comida que no habían conocido tus padres, con el propósito de humillarte y probarte para al final hacerte bien."
El problema fue cuando ellos se dejaron llenar de temor, miedo e incredulidad.
Recuerda que Jesucristo nos dio grandes promesa antes de ascender al cielo; leamos estas promesas:
- Mateo 28:20: "... Y he aquí, yo estoy con ustedes todos los días, hasta el fin del mundo”.
- Juan 16:33: "Les he hablado de estas cosas para que en mí tengan paz. En el mundo tendrán aflicción, pero ¡tengan valor; yo he vencido al mundo!"
- Mateo 18:20: "Porque donde dos o tres están congregados en mi nombre, allí estoy yo en medio de ellos."
¡Qué maravillosas promesas! Por eso no dejes de confiar en Él; habla con el Señor todos los días, y no dejes de congregarte en un lugar donde se siente el Espíritu de Dios, que es la misma nube de día y columna de fuego de noche!
- Hechos 1:8 dice: "Pero recibirán poder cuando el Espíritu Santo haya venido sobre ustedes, y me serán testigos en Jerusalén, en toda Judea, en Samaria y hasta lo último de la tierra."
Es por eso que, cuando los discípulos recibieron el Espíritu Santo por primera vez, se les manifestó en forma de fuego, en señal de que el mismo Dios que acompañó al pueblo de Israel en el desierto es el mismo que ahora nos acompaña a nosotros donde quiera que vamos, a aquellos que hayan llenado su corazón con el Espiritu de Señor.
¿Qué clase de espíritu habita en tu hogar? ¿Espíritus de confusión, incredulidad, temor, rebeldía, o contiendas? ¿O está con ustedes la nube de Dios ayudándolos a superar las pruebas, los temores y los problemas, derramando sabiduría, amor, compasión, paciencia y mansedumbre en sus vidas?

Exodus 13: Fear not of our Father's perfect travel plan!
Exodus 13:17-22:
Then it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, “Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt.” So God led the people around by way of the wilderness of the Red Sea. And the children of Israel went up in orderly ranks out of the land of Egypt.
And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him, for he had placed the children of Israel under solemn oath, saying, “God will surely visit you, and you shall carry up my bones from here with you.”
So they took their journey from Succoth and camped in Etham at the edge of the wilderness. And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people.

In this chapter we look at the people on their way to the promised land. And as in any trip that the father of the family prepares before going camping, he first makes sure that the trip is safe for the whole family.
Likewise, the Almighty brought His children out of Egypt, full of gold, silver and much food. In addition to this, He traced a slightly longer route to prevent the people, recently released from slavery, from passing through the country of the Philistines so that they would not have any confrontation. God knew Israel's fragile heart, so He led them elsewhere. The Lord also gave confidence to the people of Israel by manifesting Himself by day in a pillar of cloud and at night in a pillar of fire so that during the day they would have a giant shadow and at night they would have a lamp that would illuminate them.
I highlight these details because I want you not to forget that this is how our God i when He calls us to follow in His footsteps. He has a perfectly designed plan to guide and protect us on the path to blessing. For the people of Israel it was a new journey where they were heading towards the desert and reaching the giant sea, and then they will meet enemies, and not only that but also with shortages of basic needs such as water and food.
In the following chapters we will see how they doubted, became discouraged and even murmured against God, Moses and Aaron. But I want us to consider carefully that God was totally in control in those times of trials. When they felt thirsty and hungry, when they saw serpents and scorpions on the way, when the Amalekites came out with swords and bows to attack them, when they found themselves facing a sea and had no ships to cross it, when they saw Pharaoh's army galloping violently in their carriages ready to enslave them again. God had a specific purpose with each of these events!
Later we will see that God only wanted to see what was in their hearts, if they had a surrendered and trusting heart in God or they had a rebellious and unbelieving heart.
Deuteronomy 8:15-16 says: “... who led you through that great and terrible wilderness, in which were fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty land where there was no water; who brought water for you out of the flinty rock; who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers did not know, that He might humble you and that He might test you, to do you good in the end…”
The problem was when they were filled with fear and unbelief.
Remember that Jesus Christ gave us great promises before ascending to heaven; let's read these promises:
- Matthew 28:20: “... and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
- John 16:33: “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
- Matthew 18:20: “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
What wonderful promises! That's why don't stop trusting in Him; talk to the Lord every day, and don't stop congregating in a place where the Spirit of God is felt, which is the same cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night!
- Acts 1:8 says: “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
That is why, when the disciples received the Holy Spirit for the first time, it was manifested to them in the form of fire, as a sign that the same God who accompanied the people of Israel in the desert is the same God who now accompanies us wherever we go, to those who have filled their hearts with the Spirit of the Lord.
What kind of spirit dwells in your home? Spirits of confusion, unbelief, fear, rebellion or strife? Or is the cloud of God with you helping you to overcome trials, fears and problems, pouring out wisdom, love, compassion, patience and meekness in your lives?

When they felt thirsty and hungry, when they saw serpents and scorpions on the way, when the Amalekites came out with swords and bows to attack them, when they found themselves facing a sea and had no ships to cross it, when they saw Pharaoh's army galloping violently in their carriages ready to enslave them again. God had a specific purpose with each of these events!
Later we will see that God only wanted to see what was in their hearts, if they had a surrendered and trusting heart in God or they had a rebellious and unbelieving heart.
Deuteronomy 8:15-16 says: “... who led you through that great and terrible wilderness, in which were fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty land where there was no water; who brought water for you out of the flinty rock; who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers did not know, that He might humble you and that He might test you, to do you good in the end…”
The problem was when they were filled with fear and unbelief.
Remember that Jesus Christ gave us great promises before ascending to heaven; let's read these promises:
- Matthew 28:20: “... and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
- John 16:33: “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
- Matthew 18:20: “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
What wonderful promises! That's why don't stop trusting in Him; talk to the Lord every day, and don't stop congregating in a place where the Spirit of God is felt, which is the same cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night!
- Acts 1:8 says: “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
That is why, when the disciples received the Holy Spirit for the first time, it was manifested to them in the form of fire, as a sign that the same God who accompanied the people of Israel in the desert is the same God who now accompanies us wherever we go, to those who have filled their hearts with the Spirit of the Lord.
What kind of spirit dwells in your home? Spirits of confusion, unbelief, fear, rebellion or strife? Or is the cloud of God with you helping you to overcome trials, fears and problems, pouring out wisdom, love, compassion, patience and meekness in your lives?

Lee Éxodo 13:17-22:
20 Salieron de Sucot y acamparon en Etam, al borde del desierto. 21 El SEÑOR iba delante de ellos, de día en una columna de nube para guiarlos por el camino, y de noche en una columna de fuego para alumbrarles, a fin de que pudieran caminar tanto de día como de noche. 22 La columna de nube nunca se apartó de día de delante del pueblo, ni la columna de fuego de noche.

En este capítulo miramos a el pueblo de camino hacia la tierra prometida. Y como en todo viaje que el padre de familia prepara antes de ir a acampar, primero se cerciora que el viaje sea seguro para toda la familia. Asimismo, el Todopoderoso sacó a sus hijos de Egipto, llenos de oro, plata y mucho alimento. Además de esto, trazó una vía un poco más larga para evitar que el pueblo, recién salido de la esclavitud, no pasara por el país de los filisteos para que no tuviera ninguna confrontación. Dios conocía el corazón frágil de Israel, por eso los guió por otro lugar. También el Señor le dio confianza al pueblo de Israel manifestándose de día en una columna de nube y de noche en una columna de fuego para que así en el día tuvieran una sombra gigante y en la noche tuvieran una lámpara que los iluminara.
Remarco estos detalles porque quiero que no olviden que así es nuestro Dios cuando nos llama para que sigamos sus pasos. Él tiene un plan perfectamente diseñado para guiarnos y protegernos en el trayecto hacia la bendición. Para el pueblo de Israel era una jornada nueva donde se estaban dirigiendo, hacia el desierto y llegando al mar gigante, y después se encontrarán con enemigos, y no solo eso sino con escasez de las necesidades básicas como agua y comida.
En los siguientes capítulos vamos a ver cómo ellos dudaron, se desanimaron y hasta murmuraron contra Dios, Moisés y Aarón. Pero quiero que consideremos detalladamente que Dios tenía totalmente el control en esos momentos de pruebas. Cuando sintieron sed y hambre, cuando vieron serpientes y escorpiones en el camino, cuando salieron los amalecitas con espadas y arcos para atacarlos, cuando se encontraron al frente de una mar y no tenían barcos para cruzarlo, cuando vieron al ejército de faraón galopar con violencia en sus carruajes listos para esclavizarlos otra vez. ¡Dios tenía un propósito específico con cada uno de estos eventos!
Más adelante veremos que Dios solo quería ver lo que había en sus corazones, si tenían un corazón entregado y confiado en Dios o tenían un corazón rebelde e incrédulo.
Deuteronomio 8:15-16 dice: "Él es quien te hizo caminar por un desierto grande y terrible, de serpientes ardientes y de escorpiones; una tierra sedienta donde no había agua. Él es quien sacó para ti agua del duro pedernal. Él es quien te sustentó en el desierto con maná, comida que no habían conocido tus padres, con el propósito de humillarte y probarte para al final hacerte bien."
El problema fue cuando ellos se dejaron llenar de temor, miedo e incredulidad.
Recuerda que Jesucristo nos dio grandes promesa antes de ascender al cielo; leamos estas promesas:
- Mateo 28:20: "... Y he aquí, yo estoy con ustedes todos los días, hasta el fin del mundo”.
- Juan 16:33: "Les he hablado de estas cosas para que en mí tengan paz. En el mundo tendrán aflicción, pero ¡tengan valor; yo he vencido al mundo!"
- Mateo 18:20: "Porque donde dos o tres están congregados en mi nombre, allí estoy yo en medio de ellos."
¡Qué maravillosas promesas! Por eso no dejes de confiar en Él; habla con el Señor todos los días, y no dejes de congregarte en un lugar donde se siente el Espíritu de Dios, que es la misma nube de día y columna de fuego de noche!
- Hechos 1:8 dice: "Pero recibirán poder cuando el Espíritu Santo haya venido sobre ustedes, y me serán testigos en Jerusalén, en toda Judea, en Samaria y hasta lo último de la tierra."
Es por eso que, cuando los discípulos recibieron el Espíritu Santo por primera vez, se les manifestó en forma de fuego, en señal de que el mismo Dios que acompañó al pueblo de Israel en el desierto es el mismo que ahora nos acompaña a nosotros donde quiera que vamos, a aquellos que hayan llenado su corazón con el Espiritu de Señor.
¿Qué clase de espíritu habita en tu hogar? ¿Espíritus de confusión, incredulidad, temor, rebeldía, o contiendas? ¿O está con ustedes la nube de Dios ayudándolos a superar las pruebas, los temores y los problemas, derramando sabiduría, amor, compasión, paciencia y mansedumbre en sus vidas?

Exodus 13: Fear not of our Father's perfect travel plan!
Exodus 13:17-22:
Then it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, “Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt.” So God led the people around by way of the wilderness of the Red Sea. And the children of Israel went up in orderly ranks out of the land of Egypt.
And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him, for he had placed the children of Israel under solemn oath, saying, “God will surely visit you, and you shall carry up my bones from here with you.”
So they took their journey from Succoth and camped in Etham at the edge of the wilderness. And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people.

In this chapter we look at the people on their way to the promised land. And as in any trip that the father of the family prepares before going camping, he first makes sure that the trip is safe for the whole family.
Likewise, the Almighty brought His children out of Egypt, full of gold, silver and much food. In addition to this, He traced a slightly longer route to prevent the people, recently released from slavery, from passing through the country of the Philistines so that they would not have any confrontation. God knew Israel's fragile heart, so He led them elsewhere. The Lord also gave confidence to the people of Israel by manifesting Himself by day in a pillar of cloud and at night in a pillar of fire so that during the day they would have a giant shadow and at night they would have a lamp that would illuminate them.
I highlight these details because I want you not to forget that this is how our God i when He calls us to follow in His footsteps. He has a perfectly designed plan to guide and protect us on the path to blessing. For the people of Israel it was a new journey where they were heading towards the desert and reaching the giant sea, and then they will meet enemies, and not only that but also with shortages of basic needs such as water and food.
In the following chapters we will see how they doubted, became discouraged and even murmured against God, Moses and Aaron. But I want us to consider carefully that God was totally in control in those times of trials.
