Éxodo 28: Vestiduras para gloria y esplendor.
Éxodo 28:36-42:
36 “Harás de oro puro una lámina en forma de flor, y grabarás en ella con grabadura de sello: ‘Consagrado al SEÑOR’. 37 La colocarás sobre un cordón azul, y estará sobre el turbante; estará en la parte delantera del turbante. 38 Estará sobre la frente de Aarón, y Aarón cargará con la culpa relacionada con las cosas sagradas que los hijos de Israel hayan consagrado, todos sus obsequios sagrados. Estará continuamente sobre su frente para que hallen gracia delante del SEÑOR.
39 “Tejerás a cuadros un vestido de lino y harás un turbante de lino. Harás también un cinturón, obra de bordador. 40 También harás vestidos y cinturones para los hijos de Aarón, y les harás turbantes para gloria y esplendor. 41 Con ellos vestirás a tu hermano Aarón, y con él a sus hijos. Los ungirás, los investirás y los consagrarás para que me sirvan como sacerdotes.
42 “También les harás pantalones de lino para cubrir su desnudez desde la cintura hasta los muslos. 43 Aarón y sus hijos estarán vestidos con ellos cuando entren en el tabernáculo de reunión, o cuando se acerquen al altar para servir en el santuario; no sea que carguen con la culpa y mueran. Este es un estatuto perpetuo para él y para sus descendientes después de él.

Este capítulo es especial porque se enfoca en las vestiduras sacerdotales, con todos los accesorios que debían estar sobre el sacerdote al presentarse ante el Señor. Esta era una vestidura diseñada con detalles específicos porque cada objeto y accesorio tenía su representación y simbolismo sagrado.
Aquí vemos todos los elementos: El efod que era una especie de chaleco donde iba colgado el pectoral. El pectoral era un soporte de oro donde estaban incrustadas doce piedras preciosas simbolizando cada tribu de Israel. La túnica del efod que era un manto de color azul. El turbante que cubre la cabeza, una diadema con el título: “Consagrado al Señor”. Un cinturón, y otro manto de cuadros de lino fino.
El principal propósito era que los sacerdotes se presentaran limpios, puros, sin arruga y sin mancha. Ellos llevaban las culpas del pueblo ante el Señor, y el Señor las recibía en su presencia y así perdonaba los pecados del pueblo.
Lo que más me impresiona es que, en dos ocasiones, Dios menciona que esta vestidura es para gloria y hermosura.
Ser sacerdote no era fácil. Si el sacerdote entraba puro, las campanillas del borde sonaban. Si era impuro, no sonaban las campanillas, en señal de que Dios le había quitado la vida y era jalado por una cuerda hasta afuera del lugar santo.
Aunque era muy delicado este trabajo, también era un honor servir a Dios como sacerdote.
¡No olvides que Dios nos ha seleccionado como sus sacerdotes, y por eso debemos representar a Jesucristo con honor! No solamente en nuestra forma de vestir físicamente, sino en la vestidura espiritual que Dios nos ha dado; vestidura de pureza, justicia, redención, compasión y gracia. Dios nos vistió desde el día que entregamos nuestra vida a Él como lo afirma el apóstol Pablo en Gálatas 3:26-27: “Así que, todos son hijos de Dios por medio de la fe en Cristo Jesús porque todos los que fueron bautizados en Cristo se han revestido de Cristo.”
En ese momento, cuando saliste de las aguas del bautismo y el Nombre de Jesucristo
fue invocado sobre ti, adquiriste una nueva vestidura, ¡la sacerdotal!
Por eso debemos despojarnos de la vieja vestidura. Ya no digas más: "Así soy yo, así nací y así me quedo, etc." ¡Ahora eres una nueva criatura! Colosenses 3:9-11 dice: “No se mientan los unos a los otros; porque se han despojado del viejo hombre con sus prácticas y se han vestido del nuevo, el cual se renueva para un pleno conocimiento conforme a la imagen de aquel que lo creó.“
Así que, ¡a restaurar nuestras vestiduras, sin temor de ser diferentes, de hablar diferente, de comportarnos a la altura de un sacerdote del Dios viviente! Somos intercesores de Dios por nuestros hogares, y por nuestro prójimo que tanto necesitan de un guía que los dirija hacia Dios.

Exodus 28: Garments for glory and splendor.
Exodus 28:36-42:
“You shall also make a plate of pure gold and engrave on it, like the engraving of a signet: HOLINESS TO THE LORD.
And you shall put it on a blue cord, that it may be on the turban; it shall be on the front of the turban. So it shall be on Aaron’s forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things which the children of Israel hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall always be on his forehead, that they may be accepted before the Lord.
“You shall skillfully weave the tunic of fine linen thread, you shall make the turban of fine linen, and you shall make the sash of woven work.
“For Aaron’s sons you shall make tunics, and you shall make sashes for them. And you shall make hats for them, for glory and beauty. So you shall put them on Aaron your brother and on his sons with him. You shall anoint them, consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister to Me as priests. And you shall make for them linen trousers to cover their nakedness; they shall reach from the waist to the thighs.

This chapter is special because it focuses on the priestly vestments, with all the accessories that should be on the priest when presenting himself before the Lord. This was a garment designed with specific details because each object and accessory had its representation and sacred symbolism.
Here we see all the elements: The ephod that was a kind of vest where the pectoral was hung. The pectoral was a gold support where twelve precious stones were embedded symbolizing each tribe of Israel. The robe of the ephod that was a blue colored mantle. The turban that covers the head, a diadem with the title: "Holiness to the Lord". A belt, and another checkered mantle of fine linen.
The main purpose was for the priests to present clean, pure, without a wrinkle and without a spot. They bore the sins of the people before the Lord, and the Lord received them in His presence and thus forgave the sins of the people.
What impresses me most is that, on two occasions, God mentions that this garment is for glory and beauty.
Being a priest was not easy. If the priest entered pure, the bells on the edge rang. If he was impure, the bells did not ring, as a sign that God had taken his life and he was pulled by a rope out of the holy place.
Although this work was very delicate, it was also an honor to serve God as a priest.
Do not forget that God has selected us as His priests, and therefore we must represent Jesus Christ with honor! Not only in our physical way of dressing, but in the spiritual clothing that God has given us; garment of purity, justice, redemption, compassion and grace. God clothed us from the day we gave our lives to Him as the apostle Paul affirms in Galatians 3:26-27: "For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”
At that moment, when you came out of the waters of baptism and the Name of Jesus Christ
was invoked upon you, you acquired a new garment, the priestly one!
That is why we must take off the old garment. Say no more: "That's how I am, that's how I was born and that's how I stay, etc." You are now a new creature! Colossians 3:9-11 says: “Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.”
So, to restore our garments, without fear of being different, of speaking differently, of behaving like a priest of the living God! We are intercessors of God for our homes, and for our neighbor who so much needs a guide to direct them towards God.

Este capítulo es especial porque se enfoca en las vestiduras sacerdotales, con todos los accesorios que debían estar sobre el sacerdote al presentarse ante el Señor. Esta era una vestidura diseñada con detalles específicos porque cada objeto y accesorio tenía su representación y simbolismo sagrado.
Aquí vemos todos los elementos: El efod que era una especie de chaleco donde iba colgado el pectoral. El pectoral era un soporte de oro donde estaban incrustadas doce piedras preciosas simbolizando cada tribu de Israel. La túnica del efod que era un manto de color azul. El turbante que cubre la cabeza, una diadema con el título: “Consagrado al Señor”. Un cinturón, y otro manto de cuadros de lino fino.
El principal propósito era que los sacerdotes se presentaran limpios, puros, sin arruga y sin mancha. Ellos llevaban las culpas del pueblo ante el Señor, y el Señor las recibía en su presencia y así perdonaba los pecados del pueblo.
Lo que más me impresiona es que, en dos ocasiones, Dios menciona que esta vestidura es para gloria y hermosura.
Ser sacerdote no era fácil. Si el sacerdote entraba puro, las campanillas del borde sonaban. Si era impuro, no sonaban las campanillas, en señal de que Dios le había quitado la vida y era jalado por una cuerda hasta afuera del lugar santo.
Aunque era muy delicado este trabajo, también era un honor servir a Dios como sacerdote.
¡No olvides que Dios nos ha seleccionado como sus sacerdotes, y por eso debemos representar a Jesucristo con honor! No solamente en nuestra forma de vestir físicamente, sino en la vestidura espiritual que Dios nos ha dado; vestidura de pureza, justicia, redención, compasión y gracia. Dios nos vistió desde el día que entregamos nuestra vida a Él como lo afirma el apóstol Pablo en Gálatas 3:26-27: “Así que, todos son hijos de Dios por medio de la fe en Cristo Jesús porque todos los que fueron bautizados en Cristo se han revestido de Cristo.”
En ese momento, cuando saliste de las aguas del bautismo y el Nombre de Jesucristo
fue invocado sobre ti, adquiriste una nueva vestidura, ¡la sacerdotal!
Por eso debemos despojarnos de la vieja vestidura. Ya no digas más: "Así soy yo, así nací y así me quedo, etc." ¡Ahora eres una nueva criatura! Colosenses 3:9-11 dice: “No se mientan los unos a los otros; porque se han despojado del viejo hombre con sus prácticas y se han vestido del nuevo, el cual se renueva para un pleno conocimiento conforme a la imagen de aquel que lo creó.“
Así que, ¡a restaurar nuestras vestiduras, sin temor de ser diferentes, de hablar diferente, de comportarnos a la altura de un sacerdote del Dios viviente! Somos intercesores de Dios por nuestros hogares, y por nuestro prójimo que tanto necesitan de un guía que los dirija hacia Dios.

Exodus 28: Garments for glory and splendor.
Exodus 28:36-42:
“You shall also make a plate of pure gold and engrave on it, like the engraving of a signet: HOLINESS TO THE LORD.
And you shall put it on a blue cord, that it may be on the turban; it shall be on the front of the turban. So it shall be on Aaron’s forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things which the children of Israel hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall always be on his forehead, that they may be accepted before the Lord.
“You shall skillfully weave the tunic of fine linen thread, you shall make the turban of fine linen, and you shall make the sash of woven work.
“For Aaron’s sons you shall make tunics, and you shall make sashes for them. And you shall make hats for them, for glory and beauty. So you shall put them on Aaron your brother and on his sons with him. You shall anoint them, consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister to Me as priests. And you shall make for them linen trousers to cover their nakedness; they shall reach from the waist to the thighs.

This chapter is special because it focuses on the priestly vestments, with all the accessories that should be on the priest when presenting himself before the Lord. This was a garment designed with specific details because each object and accessory had its representation and sacred symbolism.
Here we see all the elements: The ephod that was a kind of vest where the pectoral was hung. The pectoral was a gold support where twelve precious stones were embedded symbolizing each tribe of Israel. The robe of the ephod that was a blue colored mantle. The turban that covers the head, a diadem with the title: "Holiness to the Lord". A belt, and another checkered mantle of fine linen.
The main purpose was for the priests to present clean, pure, without a wrinkle and without a spot. They bore the sins of the people before the Lord, and the Lord received them in His presence and thus forgave the sins of the people.
What impresses me most is that, on two occasions, God mentions that this garment is for glory and beauty.
Being a priest was not easy. If the priest entered pure, the bells on the edge rang. If he was impure, the bells did not ring, as a sign that God had taken his life and he was pulled by a rope out of the holy place.
Although this work was very delicate, it was also an honor to serve God as a priest.
Do not forget that God has selected us as His priests, and therefore we must represent Jesus Christ with honor! Not only in our physical way of dressing, but in the spiritual clothing that God has given us; garment of purity, justice, redemption, compassion and grace. God clothed us from the day we gave our lives to Him as the apostle Paul affirms in Galatians 3:26-27: "For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”
At that moment, when you came out of the waters of baptism and the Name of Jesus Christ
was invoked upon you, you acquired a new garment, the priestly one!
That is why we must take off the old garment. Say no more: "That's how I am, that's how I was born and that's how I stay, etc." You are now a new creature! Colossians 3:9-11 says: “Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.”
So, to restore our garments, without fear of being different, of speaking differently, of behaving like a priest of the living God! We are intercessors of God for our homes, and for our neighbor who so much needs a guide to direct them towards God.
