Éxodo 8:1-15:
1 Entonces el SEÑOR dijo a Moisés: —Ve al faraón y dile que el SEÑOR ha dicho así: “Deja ir a mi pueblo para que me sirva. 2 Y si rehúsas dejarlo ir, he aquí yo castigaré todo tu territorio con una plaga de ranas. 3 El Nilo se llenará de ranas, las cuales subirán y entrarán en tu casa y en tu dormitorio, y sobre tu cama. Entrarán en las casas de tus servidores y de tu pueblo. Entrarán en tus hornos y en tus artesas de amasar. 4 Las ranas subirán sobre ti, sobre tu pueblo y sobre todos tus servidores”.
5 El SEÑOR dijo también a Moisés: —Di a Aarón: “Extiende tu mano con tu vara sobre los ríos, sobre los canales y sobre los estanques; y haz subir ranas sobre la tierra de Egipto”.
6 Entonces Aarón extendió su mano sobre las aguas de Egipto, y subieron ranas que cubrieron la tierra de Egipto. 7 Pero los magos hicieron lo mismo con sus encantamientos, e hicieron subir ranas sobre la tierra de Egipto. 8 Entonces el faraón llamó a Moisés y a Aarón, y les dijo: —Rueguen al SEÑOR para que quite las ranas de mí y de mi pueblo, y dejaré ir al pueblo para que ofrezca sacrificios al SEÑOR.
9 Y Moisés dijo al faraón: —Dígnate indicarme cuándo he de rogar por ti, por tus servidores y por tu pueblo, para que las ranas sean quitadas de ti y de tus casas, y solamente queden en el Nilo.
10 Y él dijo: —Mañana.
Y Moisés respondió: —Se hará conforme a tu palabra, para que conozcas que no hay otro como el SEÑOR nuestro Dios.

Hoy, en este capítulo, leemos la segunda plaga que son las ranas; la tercera plaga: los piojos; y la cuarta plaga: las moscas.
Hoy quiero que consideremos la acción del faraón cuando vio que toda la tierra de Egipto estaba invadida de ranas. Moisés le había advertido al faraón que si no dejaba ir al pueblo, las ranas iban a entrar hasta en los rincones más escondidos de cada casa.
Imagínese lo fastidioso que es tener ranas por todos lados. Imagínese que usted intenta hacer un pan y encuentra ranas en el horno. Imagínese que intenta acostarse en su cama y encuentra ranas debajo de la almohada.

Espero que hayas podido visualizar el efecto negativo de esta plaga. Ahora mira la respuesta del faraón cuando mandó a llamar a Moisés para que orara a Dios y así las ranas desaparezcan de Egipto. Moisés le preguntó que cuándo quería que orara por él y la respuesta del faraón fue: Mañana.
¿Mañana? ¿El siguiente día? ¿Será que el faraón no estaba viendo como su pueblo sufría? ¿Será que él tenía la esperanza de que sus brujos las eliminaran?
No se sabe por qué el faraón decidió esperarse un día más. Lo que sí dice la Biblia es que se hizo conforme a su petición y las ranas desaparecieron.
Es interesante y hasta escalofriante imaginar que alguien, atormentado por las ranas, tuvo la oportunidad de recibir alivio inmediatamente pero prefirió esperar una noche más.
Tal vez el faraón hizo que sus siervos le quitaran las ranas inmediatamente cuando entraban en su palacio o cuarto, y por eso pudo aguantar una noche más pero él no pensó en el resto del pueblo que estaba aterrorizado y no tenían ayudantes para ayudarles a sacar las ranas de sus casas.

Muchas veces Dios habla a alguien para que reciba el perdón de pecados, la salvación y la vida eterna, pero muchos prefieren esperar un tiempo más. Tal vez están esperando terminar algún proyecto personal o alcanzar alguna meta y piensan que el compromiso con Dios puede estorbarle en el camino.
Lo que está claro es que Dios quiere ayudarnos, bendecirnos y hacer milagros en nuestras vidas, pero tenemos que tomar la decisión inmediatamente para poder recibir el alivio que viene de la presencia de Dios.
Escucha las palabras del apóstol Pablo cuando le escribió a los corintios, animándoles a que no esperen más en entregar sus vidas al Señor en 2 Corintios 6:1-2: "Y así nosotros, como colaboradores, les exhortamos también a ustedes a que no reciban en vano la gracia de Dios; porque dice: 'En tiempo favorable te escuché, y en el día de la salvación te socorrí'. ¡He aquí ahora el tiempo más favorable! ¡He aquí ahora el día de salvación!"

También el apóstol Pedro y Juan le dijeron a varios oyentes judíos que estaban presentes sobre esto en Hechos 3:19: "Por tanto, arrepiéntanse y conviértanse para que sean borrados sus pecados; de modo que de la presencia del Señor vengan tiempos de refrigerio"

Te animo para que no pierdas la oportunidad que tienes de reconciliarte con el Señor, o pedir Su dirección tan pronto puedas doblar tus rodillas ante el Señor y hablar con Él. No esperes más en restaurar tu relación con tu esposo o esposa. No alargues más ese conflicto que tienes con tus hijos; y más bien comienza a restaurar esa relación con ellos o con un ser querido.
Si esas cosas son como ranas que nos atormentan porque son cosas pendientes que debemos resolver, es tiempo de que digas: "Hoy lo haré; no lo dejaré para mañana."
El mañana nunca llega, el presente es el que tenemos hoy.

Exodus 8:1-15:
And the Lord spoke to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord: “Let My people go, that they may serve Me. But if you refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all your territory with frogs. So the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into your house, into your bedroom, on your bed, into the houses of your servants, on your people, into your ovens, and into your kneading bowls. And the frogs shall come up on you, on your people, and on all your servants.” ’ ”
Then the Lord spoke to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Stretch out your hand with your rod over the streams, over the rivers, and over the ponds, and cause frogs to come up on the land of Egypt.’ ” So Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt, and the frogs came up and covered the land of Egypt. And the magicians did so with their enchantments, and brought up frogs on the land of Egypt.
Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, “Entreat the Lord that He may take away the frogs from me and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may sacrifice to the Lord.”
And Moses said to Pharaoh, “Accept the honor of saying when I shall intercede for you, for your servants, and for your people, to destroy the frogs from you and your houses, that they may remain in the river only.”
So he said, “Tomorrow.” And he said, “Let it be according to your word, that you may know that there is no one like the Lord our God.

Today, in this chapter, we read about the second plague, which is frogs; the third plague: lice; and the fourth plague: flies.
Today I want us to consider the action of Pharaoh when he saw that the entire land of Egypt was overrun with frogs. Moses had warned Pharaoh that if he did not let the people go, the frogs would enter even the most hidden corners of each house.
Imagine how annoying it is to have frogs everywhere. Imagine that you are trying to bake a loaf of bread and find frogs in the oven. Imagine trying to lie down on your bed and find frogs under your pillow.

I hope you have been able to visualize the negative effect of this plague. Now look at Pharaoh's response when he sent for Moses to pray to God so that the frogs would disappear from Egypt. Moses asked him when he wanted him to pray for him and Pharaoh's answer was: Tomorrow.
Tomorrow? The next day? Could it be that the Pharaoh was not seeing how his people suffered? Could it be that he was hoping that his sorcerers would eliminate them?
It is not known why the Pharaoh decided to wait another day. What the Bible does say is that it was done at his request and the frogs disappeared.
It is interesting and even chilling to imagine that someone, tormented by frogs, had the opportunity to receive immediate relief but preferred to wait one more night.
Perhaps Pharaoh had his servants remove the frogs immediately when they entered his palace or room, and so he was able to hold out one more night but he did not think of the rest of the people who were terrified and had no helpers to help them remove the frogs from their houses.

Many times God speaks to someone to receive forgiveness of sins, salvation and eternal life, but many prefer to wait a while longer. Perhaps they are waiting to finish some personal project or reach some goal and think that commitment to God can get in the way.
What is clear is that God wants to help us, bless us and perform miracles in our lives, but we have to make the decision immediately in order to receive the relief that comes from the presence of God.
Listen to the words of the apostle Paul when he wrote to the Corinthians, encouraging them not to wait any longer to give their lives to the Lord in 2 Corinthians 6:1-2: "We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain. For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”

Also the apostle Peter and John told several Jewish listeners who were present about this in Acts 3:19: "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,...”

I encourage you not to miss the opportunity you have to reconcile with the Lord, or ask for His direction as soon as you can get down on your knees before the Lord and talk with Him. Don't wait any longer to restore your relationship with your husband or wife. Don't prolong that conflict you have with your children; and rather begin to restore that relationship with them or with a loved one.
If those things are like frogs that torment us because they are pending things that we must solve, it is time for you to say: "Today I will do it; I will not leave it for tomorrow."
