God saw and God knew. Exodus 1–2 shows Israel oppressed under Pharaoh’s cruel hand, yet still multiplying because God’s promises cannot be stopped. We watch midwives choose to fear God over man, a desperate mother hide her child, and Moses grow up only to flee Egypt in fear. But even in slavery and uncertainty, the chapter ends with hope: God heard His people’s cries and remembered His covenant. Pastor Paul reminds us that the Lord who was faithful to Israel is faithful still, and He always sees and knows.
