As the Israelites started to leave Egypt, we saw God set up two key reminders for His people: that He works to deliver and redeem His people, and we are called to remind ourselves and others of His work. As Moses continues in Exodus 13:17-14:31, we see the Egyptians pursue Israel to take them back. Israel is wrought with fear; why is this happening when God is supposed to be delivering and redeeming them? In the back-and-forth between God & His people here, we see that God teaches us to trust His deliverance & redemption as He reveals our salvation & reclaims His glory.
