Exodus 14.2 Typology of Baptism

After the Hebrews complain about the situation in which they are lead by Moses to the edge of the sea in front of them, the Egyptians behind them and the Philistines are on the road along the Mediterranean Sea, so the Hebrews travel south to a place to where they are hemmed in by the wilderness, the Egyptians and the sea. They are boxed in by nature and the enemies of the sons of Israel. Moses stretches out his hands and a "strong east wind blows all night" and the Israelites cross on dry land through the sea. Why would God bring them to this place? Why place them in this difficult place? We look at 1 Cor. 10:1-2, St. Basil the Great and St. Cyril of Alexandria and Dr. Scott Hahn and Curtis Mitch.
