* God made us to work - it existed before the flood.
* Work is our primary form of worship.
* In the OT, work and rest were separate.
* In the NT, work and rest go hand-in-hand.
* Ten Commandments - 1st 4 deal w/honoring God, 2nd 5 deal w/honoring others (starting w/parents).
* Two greatest commandments - love God and love others.
* 1st 3 talk about God - the 4th talks about Jesus.
* Vs 8-11 - it’s not just about rest, it’s about WORK.
* Only a working person can experience rest.
* God is a worker and so should we be - He created during His time at work.
* Jesus is our Sabbath!
* God calls you to work. Why? Because you will find rest.
* Jesus says, “…take my yoke upon you and I will give you rest.”

* God’s provision becomes our nourishment through work.
* Do you want to find rest in your work? Then honor the Sabbath!
* Honor Jesus in your work by working with Him.
* If you obey - Leviticus 26:3-5.
* If you disobey - Leviticus 26:17-20.
* Vocation comes from the Latin “vocare,” and means “the work a man is called to by God.”
* 3 R’s for WORK:
* The requirement for work is faithfulness.
* The reward for work is rest.
* The result of work is that God gets glory.
