In Exodus 22 & 23, God lays out some guidelines and rules on how to live with each other and treat each other in society. God's heart and character of justice with compassion are shown in the laws given. God wants a society where people are treated fairly and justice is upheld honestly and truthfully. He wants a society where the marginalized are provided for and never taken advantage of. He directs us to not gossip, bend the truth or oppress anyone ever. He wants us to fix our hearts and eyes on Him and Him alone and help those around us who need help along the way - even if it's an enemy or someone who doesn't think highly of you. He wants us to celebrate and gather with each other and Him. As long as they keep their eyes on hearts on Him and obey Him, He promises to lead His people into the Promised Land and is sending His angel to guide them on the journey fighting any battles that arise for them along the way. God is such an amazingly good God.
