Exodus 2 introduced us to the person of God’s restoration: the consecrated image-bearer who would bring God’s justice and deliverance to His people. From this, we saw that we ought to reflect God’s image, stand for the preservation of life, and trust His deliverance. Exodus 3 begins the narrative of God calling Moses to undertake His restorative work, revealing to us in the process what our restoration is founded upon. From Exodus 3, we see that God’s restoration begins with knowing who God is and entering into His presence to worship Him.
