Exodus 33-35 is an integral part of the story of the Israelites' escape from slavery in Egypt and journey to the Promised Land. Moses, the leader of the Israelites, is called up to Mount Sinai to receive the Ten Commandments directly from God. During this time, God also reveals His plan to dwell among the Israelites and instructs Moses to build the Tabernacle as a physical representation of His presence.

Exodus 34 describes the encounter between Moses and God on Mount Sinai where Moses receives the Ten Commandments and other instructions for the Israelites, including the commandments to worship only one God, keep the Sabbath holy, and not steal or kill. The instructions for building the Tabernacle are given in Exodus 35, and the Israelites respond with great enthusiasm and generosity. The Tabernacle becomes a central part of their worship and a symbol of their relationship with God. The chapters demonstrate God's loving care and guidance for His people and their commitment to following Him and building a meaningful relationship.
