* God was known as El-Shaddai to Abe, Isaac, and Jacob.

* This is a NOUN that means God Almighty, the God who is and who will be and will prove to be.

* God was known as Jehovah to Moses.

* This is a VERB signifying the active manifestation of who God claimed to be.

* In a sense, God was saying to Moses, “I was a noun to those men, but I will be a verb to you. I am going to actually do the things I told these men I would one day do.

* This is why the Word of God is living and active - it’s a VERB!

* God is a noun and a verb, but He only becomes a verb when we surrender to Him!
