Chris Stuart - Tyndale’s Plowboy

Exodus Growth

Listen Later

The central message of this sermon is that spiritual growth and maturity are a process that begins with a personal encounter with God, which brings about a vertical relationship between humanity and God. Before this encounter, individuals live in a "spiritual flatland," unaware of the deeper, eternal realities and unable to understand or experience the divine. The speaker argues that without this encounter, people remain stuck in their natural state, driven by horizontal values and actions. However, when God breaks into an individual's life, they are born again, and then can begin to grow and mature spiritually. The sermon uses Moses' story as a type of this process, highlighting his initial state of ignorance and rebellion, followed by his encounter with God at the burning bush, which marks the beginning of his spiritual growth and relationship with God. Ultimately, the speaker emphasizes that Daddy knows best, and when we surrender to God's sovereignty, He will guide us and equip us for the tasks He has assigned to us.
