A SCIENCE NOTE
Quark-Gluon Plasma
Hot, dense soup of free quarks and gluons.
Existed just after the Big Bang.
Created in particle colliders like the LHC.
Supercritical Fluid
Occurs above critical temperature & pressure.
Behaves like both a gas and a liquid.
Example: Supercritical CO₂ (used to decaffeinate coffee).
Time Crystal (hypothetical/experimental)
A structure that repeats in time, not just space.
No energy input, defies classical thermodynamics.
Supersolid (experimental)
Matter with a rigid structure (solid) that also flows without friction (like a superfluid).
Liquid Crystal (mesophase)
Between liquid and solid: flows like a liquid, has some order like a solid.
Example: LCD screens.
Amorphous Solid
Disordered solid—has no long-range structure.
Example: Glass, obsidian.
