Today we try to make up video games based off of three random video game genres, generated by a small box in Steph’s hands. Before that, we talk about games we’ve been playing like Dead Cells, Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe, Wo Long Fallen Dynasty, and Dead Space. Man, some of the games we come up with are wild, like a FPS Waifu game….

Stoy opens up about the comments he’s gotten about his article “Video Games Aren’t Art”, and explains a bit more about where the article is coming from. Read the article here. Other than that, the gang talks about that mediocre Sony State of Play, our worry about Suicide Squad, Castlevania and Metal Gear Solid 3 potentially making appearances at E3 this year, and Shinji Mikami leaving Tango Gameworks. Steph plays Dead Cells, and Metroid Prime Remastered, Pat goes all in on Like a Dragon: Ishin and all its weirdness, as well as Octopath Traveler II, and Stoy tells you to go back to Chrono Cross Remastered now, they fixed it! As well as Atomic Heart and Deliver Us Mars.

A gentle reminder at the start that words don't hurt as much as you'd think them to! Anyway, we kick things off talking about the controversy surrounding the upcoming "video game" The Day Before, and whether it's real or not, and what's coming up for E3 and what's being announced for the DC Universe over the next few years by James Gunn. Stephanie is still knocking out The Last of Us and prepping herself for DeadSpace by watching a let's play, and Stoy still enjoys Forspoken, all the while jumping into Deliver Us The Moon, and Goldeneye for the Xbox.

Anyway, we got a great episode today, and we start by talking about our thoughts on the internet trying to bully people into not buying Hogwarts Legacy, which isn't far really. Besides that, we talk about the Microsoft Developer Direct Showcase, Xbox's new "carbon aware" power saving mode, and more! Steph plays The Last of Us, Pat plays Lonesome Village, A Space For The Unbound, Dead Space, and Hi-Fi Rush, and Stoy (also playing Dead Space and Hi-Fi Rush) gives his honest take on Forspoken, and why he really likes it.

Pat loves RPGs, and he brought on Emily (Orbalology) to the podcast to try and convince Stoy and Stephanie on what RPGs they need to play, and which ones they would be most interested in according to their play styles and interests. We start our episode off with a short interview with Emily, a cool show and tell with some of our pick ups, and then dive into what games we've been playing, like Lonesome Village, Fire Emblem Engage, A Space For The Unbound, and Haunting Ground for the PS2. Our main topic revolves around talking about RPG franchises like Xeonblade Chronicles, Atelier, Final Fantasy, Trails of series, and many MANY more. It's an educational episode, especially if you're interested in diving into RPGs but don't know where to start.
