This first episode, I want to tell you my story, which is the sole reason why this podcast came to be. About seven years ago, three weeks before my 20th birthday, I had a traumatic brain injury that flipped my entire world upside down. I sustained my last ice hockey concussion and it left me with blurred vision, headaches, vertigo, light headedness, brain fog, knee pain, hand tremors, anxiety and depression. Most days these symptoms would happen all at once. But if I was having a good day, I would only experience a couple of symptoms at a time. I remember feeling like I was constantly in a dream and I couldn’t converse with people anymore.
