Expectation and Evisceration. It’s a beautiful thing to know that our God is not as concerned with our failures as we are. That he is not as concerned with our external or internal enemies as we are. As a matter of fact, he’s longing for us to pick a fight so that he might come through for us. This is the confidence that our Father wants us to have in him. An expectation of his deliverance & a certainty that he will eviscerate our enemies. To go into battle convinced that he is with us, even when circumstances seem bleak. That even when he is disciplining us for our own wrongdoing, we can be confident because he will restore us and rebuke those enemies that sought our downfall.
