Many have a wrong view and opinion about who God is.  This is one reason many struggle with experiencing tangible results in their life.

Eph. 3:20  tells us the following "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 

But it seems that there is a prerequisite in the previous verses. Paul prayer is a powerful one from which we can learn from.
