In the latest episode of The Flip N' Shift Podcast, my guest is Tiffany Spencer.
Tiffany Spencer is the founder and CEO of A Mindset by Design. After her own nervous system breakdown in 2018, she realized that many leaders in corporate America are not prepared to deal with the emotional and physical changes that come with their new found success.
Through A Mindset By Design, Inc., Tiffany is helping executives lead by design and not by accident. She is providing them with the tools they need to manage their emotions and navigate their physical and career wellness so they can continue to be successful without sacrificing their well-being. She is here to discuss the role insulin resistance has played in her life and what she is doing to educate others on it.

Tiffany discussing the process of what happens when we become insulin resistant:
"If you are in a conditioned stress response, you are in stress all day long. Hence the chronic illness and the executives that I work with. What happens is your body cannot shuttle nutrients into the cells like it needs to. (She then discusses what happens when our cells are nutrient depleted.)" 25:08-28:17
Tiffany discussing the catastrophic cascade of events that took place when she was overloaded with toxins and dealing with a conditioned stress response that was in direct correlation with Insulin Resistance:
"I was on Klonopin. It destroyed all of my gaba cells in my entire body. Alot of people do not understand the effects of medication in these types of situations. Everyone wants to throw medication at these types of situations (Anxiety, conditioned stress response and environmental stress factors). Let me give you a quick pill for this (anxiety) or put you on Wellbutrin to get the weight off. It is such a bandaid." 36:16-36:52
