Hyenas, especially the spotted ones, often seem to have much longer front legs than their hind ones. But don't be fooled! Hyena's front and hind legs are almost the same length, with the hind legs possibly a tad longer. This unique body shape is primarily attributed to their spine structure, particularly the thoracic vertebrae.
