Signals Lagos which was hosted by Oshodi Tapa began by asking the Guest Tumi Adeyemi why he never let an opportunity slip by, Tumi’s responded by giving a clear understanding of where he was coming from, indicating that if you come from a place of lack or survival, everything would present itself as an opportunity for you. The host further pressed harder by stating some individuals rarely see opportunity, and when they get this opportunity, they let it slip by. Tumi as a matter of fact asserted that grabbing opportunities is a matter of the mind and preparedness. He goes further to say the opportunity you are mindful of is what becomes your chance.

Besides being addressed as a business development strategist, the Guest also described himself as an Entrepreneur, who focuses on strategies that enable him to cut across several sectors in the principles that govern business. He goes further to address himself as a fortunate jack of all trades. Oshodi further enquired about what process means to a strategist. Tumi in simple terms gives an example of what a process is, which means setting a goal and combining all factors of productivity to achieve that goal. He likened this example to jollof rice and how jollof rice is cooked. The host also asked the Guest about Zeno, the technology used in powering the Lagosride, Tumi gave a definite response relating the major traffic on the roads to the number of private cars on the road, and this is a result of the unreliable transport system.

In conclusion, Tumi was quizzed on how enabling the Nigerian environment is for business by Oshodi, he claimed that the business environment is not really enabling, however, if efforts are made by each and every individual, we will experience change. His idea behind Zeno technology struck him the first time he visited Lagos and had to pay an exorbitant amount of money for a cab fare, he realized that Lagos would become a hub for his business ideas.
