Meditation expert, Miriam Bekkouche talks with Alison about blending science-backed mindfulness techniques with wisdom practices from across time and geography.
As a TED Resident, Miriam’s work is focused on exploring the intersection of meditation and global problem solving. She’s developed mindfulness-based curriculums for several organizations including Be More America to uncover and heal unconscious racial bias. Her approach is inspired by her experience enabling entrepreneurs and world leaders to succeed while working with the Canadian Foreign Service for a decade.
Miriam has been a student of mindfulness for 20 years. She completed trainings with the Silva Method, the Art of Living, the Himalayan Tradition, Stanford’s Compassion Cultivation Training, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and Prema Yoga (200hr RYT).
Originally from Montreal, Miriam lives in Brooklyn where she indulges in her love for travel, vinyasa, and meditation.
