I discovered the steps to properly extract updates for the Dashboard and run them in a specific version of Xenia. Here is me exploring these updates.

Findings:
1888 - This version's sound is broken for some reason. This could be my fault.
1888 - This is the only version with a working System Infomation screen. This also may be my fault.
4552 - This version added a bunch of settings, and themes! Neat!
5579 - This version added an auto-download feature for XBLA games and demos. Very cool! Unfortunately, this feature was later removed. 😦
5579 - This version also added the Marketplace blade! Unfortunately, this will never be useful to us.
6683 - This is the first version that does not work on the new branch of Canary. I wonder why.
6683 - This version's Console Settings menu crashes the guest. It is the first in the list to do so.
9199 - This is the first "New Xbox Experience" update.
9199 - For some reason this version starts with a warning to install an update with a disc that supposedly came with they system.
9199 - Contrary to the information in the What's Hot screen, pressing the Guide button does nothing. This is because of several things not being implemented in Xenia. Most importantly, the Guide button itself, second, the ability for the HUD to open on top.
9199 - This version is capable of creating new profiles! Neat! As far as I have tested, it is the only version currently able to do so. All of them will be Xbox Live-enabled, but none will be able to sign in. Trying to do so will open a pop-up that is not properly implemented in Xenia, forcing you to exit the emulator.
12625 - Restarting the console actually gracefully closes the emulator. Wow! How does that work?!
