Explosions were heard on Friday morning in Tehran, state TV reported, as Israel said it had launched a "preemptive strike" on Iran.

Iran retaliated by launching about 100 drones towards Israeli territory.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has denied any U.S. assistance or involvement in Israel's attack on Iran.
