Publisher's Summary:
From New York Times best-selling author Deborah Bladon...
Harvard student Sadie Lockwood was given a second chance, and she's determined to make it count. She planned her life out with precision, and she refuses to be deterred from her course. She knows what she wants, and that is to honor the person who lost their life to save hers.
When Hunter Reynolds steps into Sadie's world, she is knocked off of her axis. He's bold, charismatic, and intense. She's committed to not letting him lead her off her prearranged path, but he's persuasive, and a little fun never hurt anyone, right?
As Sadie sets out on a journey to pull back the layers of Hunter's emotional façade, she begins to question the very heart that beats within her. Will shedding her own inhibitions help Sadie to accept the man she craves, or will everything change once all is exposed?
This is the first part of a four-part series. The entire series is now complete and available as a bundled set on Amazon!

good read.
I like the book. I feel it is predictable. I have read this author before and her stories always hang on a cliffhanger. Next book is out soon. You may want to wait until series is done because it is hard to start a story and then come back to it a month later.
Loved it!
I figured out where the story was going, so I wasn't too surprised on how this incredible story paused. But I still can't wait for more. I love Hunter and Sadie already!
Perfect
Perfect cliff hanger....can't wait for your April 25th release. Couldn't stop until I finished the book. Great writing Deborah!
How many more in the series?
Caught my attention
4-4.5 stars. While I loved Sadie and Hunter together, Hunter was so confusing. He seemed so out of reach and enigmatic, full of sexual promise and nothing else. He wants Sadie without commitment knowing full well that she isn't that type of girl. Then he decides that maybe they could have an arrangement for a temporary period. Later he wants all of her, yet he reveals so very little about himself when it's obvious he is hiding something. Sadie is extremely intelligent, attractive and the sort of person who will do big things in her life because she makes it her purpose to achieve the highest possible goal. Her love life is less lucky so she's self-conscious of Hunter's attraction to her, especially because she knows intimacy will reveal something ugly about herself. I saw the ending coming and that up until that point, the story was good but I didn't know where it was going and now that I do, I'm a lot more interested to continue.
Why did it end?!
Wow! This book is off to a fast start! It's almost predictable but I still couldn't stop reading it! Hunter & Sadie have an instant connection that Sadie almost ruins with her craziness. I understand her hesitation in getting involved with someone due to her previous experience but she temporarily lost her mind. Now to Hunter....oh what a tangled web we weave......can't wait to see how this unfolds!
