I sat down with Carson Burks — the young man publicly accusing his father, a Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputy, of decades of abuse. The interview started as planned. Then I brought up a police report from June 19th, and everything changed.
What I didn't know at the time: Carson had me live on his TikTok without my knowledge. When the conversation turned somewhere he didn't want it to go, he ended the stream and told me it was a phone call from his brother. It wasn't.
In this episode: what the June 19th report describes, how Carson answered when I pushed him on it and on where his GoFundMe money is actually going, and the 30 minutes he spent afterward asking me not to release any of this.
