Expressing Activism with Tristina Allen

Listen Later

On this episode we have the opportunity to talk with Tristina Allen, one of Dayton's many Black female activists and advocate for social and political change. Following recent events with police brutality and the revolutionary outcry heard across the nation, we explore the intricacies of Black female leadership in movements, imposter syndrome in activism and the power and impact of our individual platforms.

This episode is dedicated to Iyanna Dior, a Black trans woman attacked in Minneapolis. This is a reminder that as we are expressing activism and protesting for 'Black Lives Matter' that the lives of members of the LGBTQA+ community are also included in that fight.
