Donald Trump may not quite have his feet under the desk in the oval office but the Trump transition team has its sleeves rolled up, promising to "dismantle" Dodd-Frank, the law passed after the financial crisis to protect consumers and make banks less risky. Wall Street, for months under attack from Trump is delighted.
Australia's corporate regulator Greg Medcraft spent thirty years as an investment banker, partly in the US and was chair of IOSCO which represents the world's securities regulators.
