Associate Professor Penny Crofts has spent a year studying newspaper coverage of the Banking Royal Commission for her paper which is being funded by the Australian Research Council.

She found unlike many criminals, the banks have the power and opportunity to offer alternative narratives and that will effect how justice is meted out.
