For my first ever podcast episode this week I wanted to talk about something that was essential to my eating disorder recovery - externalising your eating disorder.
Trigger Warning: I aim to not discuss numbers or specific details of my experience as no one should compare their story to mine, some experiences or eating disorder thoughts do come up so if you feel like you aren't in the mindset to listen - please don't!!
Firstly, I apologise for all the ummms and pauses but I just wanted to be real with you all and just sit and have a chat.
Externalising your eating disorder allows you to start working towards your recovery and take back your personality! It can also help those supporting you to separate your ED from you, and work out how best to support you.
This week we will look at: What does it mean to externalise your eating disorder and how this can work towards your recovery.
Disclaimer - I do not have any qualifications in the treatment of Eating Disorders, only the experience of surviving one!
