The guys have a lot of fun this week as Kevin gives us the report from directly behind the glass after the Shorty Jenkins Classic in Cornwall, ON. We look at a couple of events on the calendar this coming week and there is some discussion about how the new iteration of top-level teams are starting the gel. In Coaches Corner Rob goes into a detailed analysis on the relationship between sweepers and their skip and how better to bridge that communication gap. 

This week the guys give a little more context as to why they have chosen now to start a podcast. Hint: It isn't just the mid-life crisis thing. We review the Stu Sells Oakville Tankard as well as the Saville Shootout. Looking ahead we talk about the Shorty Jenkins and the Saville Grand Prix. Coaches Corner has an in-depth discussion on ice making and we pay tribute to the memory of Margaret McDonald with Kevin telling about three curling predictions she made over 40 years ago that have come true.  

The guys talk about the start of a new curling quadrennial and the new season. The the KW Fall Classic just finished and we get a first look at the new teams and discuss what we think is going to happen this year. We also stress some opinions on curling event streaming. In our coaches corner section Rob gives us an in-depth analysis on weight control and in Overheard at Royals we hear some of the gossip around the warm room.
