The City of Mountain View is looking to start a UAS -- that's Unmanned Aircraft System -- program for three divisions within the City -- Public Works, the Fire Department, and the Police Department.

But what goes into even starting one of these things? And why might it benefit Mountain View? What can these departments do with drones, and more importantly, what can't they do?
