Tai-Ex opening

The Tai-Ex opened up 165-points this morning from yesterday's close, at

23,190 on turnover of $9-billion N-T.




Taiwan's first lunar mission successfully launched

Taiwan's National Central University (NCU) says it has successfully launched

the country's first lunar mission on Wednesday (Taipei time)…


Tts Deep Space Radiation Probe (DSRP) was carried into space and expected to

land on the moon in four months.


The probe was aboard the lunar lander HAKUTO-R Mission 2 developed by ispace,

a Japanese lunar exploration company, and launched from Florida.


The DSRP is Taiwan's first domestically-built scientific payload for a lunar

mission and the first to leave low Earth orbit (LEO), which extends to

(延長到) an altitude of 2,000 kilometers


The mission is aimed at measuring the expected radiation dose between the

earth and the moon, as well as on the lunar surface, and understanding the

radiation-caused anomalies of electronics commonly used on board a

spacecraft.




Blinken defends US policy on Gaza

news conference, as he defended US policy on Gaza.

South African dead miners

Police say the death toll in a monthslong standoff between authorities and

miners trapped while working illegally underground at an abandoned gold mine

in South Africa has risen to at least 87.


The miners are suspected to have died of starvation and dehydration (脫水).

India Satellite Docks in Space

Space officials in India say they have docked two satellites in space to

become the fourth nation to complete such a mission, in a milestone for the

country’s scientific ambitions.


The two satellites weighing 220 kilograms each were blasted into orbit on a

single rocket in December and sent into slightly different orbits.


India's Space Research Organization says the two satellites were maneuvered

(操縱) back together Thursday in a precision operation.


The mission had been postponed twice earlier due to technical issues.
