Presidential Office simulation shows need for better government coordination
National Security Council Deputy Secretary-General, Lin Fei-fan says central
and local governments need to improve their coordination to better defend

The statement follows a "tabletop simulation" at the Presidential Office.
According to Lin, although emergency response protocols are well established,
various government agencies at different levels need to enhance their ability
to coordinate and communicate more effectively during emergencies.
Lin says currently, each agency tends to approach issues separately without
considering how they can collaborate (合作) with each other and improve their
"response to complex threats" ….
.. and the "tabletop simulation" exposed potential manpower shortages
affecting entities overseen by the Ministry of the Interior - including
law enforcement agencies, fire departments, the air service corps and others.
It was carried out during the second meeting of the Presidential Office's
Whole-of-Society Defense Resilience Committee and included the participation
of Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim and other top central and local government
officials.
