Ezekiel, the prophet and priest during the time of Jews exiled in Babylon. They lived along the Chebar canal, called Tel-abib (3:15). Ezekiel means “God strengthens”, referred to as Son of Man in this Book. He is commissioned to warn and plead to the people of Israel to turn away from wicked ways as the full judgement of God awaits them. The Book of Ezekiel & Daniel are full of "Apocalyptic"(Revelation) literature, reveals God's Omniscience, Omnipresence and Omnipotence, a mystery, unless God reveals them, no human can grasp it.
What do we learn from this journey?
We learn about *The incomprehensible Glory of God. *The Sinfulness of men, how we chose to ignore God. *The Holy God, he judge sin. God wants us to be molded into Christlikeness. *The Mercy & Love of God, though the Jews rejects Him, He never gives up on them - What kind of love is that? And I will give them one heart, and a new spirit. And they shall be my people and I will be their God (11:19-20).
