In Ezekiel 2 & 3, Ezekiel receives a divine assignment from God. He experienced God's presence and now it's time for the calling. He is told he is to bring God's message regardless if they listen. God knows they are stubborn and rebellious, but still wants them to have an opportunity to hear the truth and repent. If they chose to listen and repent, they could have escaped exile sooner but they refused God as well as His blessings. If he brings the message and they refuse to listen, it's on them. If Ezekiel does not obey and bring forth the message, then it's on Ezekiel. When we accept Jesus as our Savior and experience the glory of God as we spend time with Him and His Word, allowing Him to transform us, we are commissioned to spread His Gospel - His Word - His message to those around us. It's up to everyone to choose God and God wants everyone to have the opportunity to do so. We can either be the missionary or the mission. We can be an obedient servant of God or a rebellious person who never wants to hear the truth. The choice is always ours.
