A lot can change in six years.
Six years ago, F*** Divorce was a place for me to work through the mess of Divorce, put my feelings into words, and hopefully help someone else feel a little less alone.
Then life happened.
I fell in love with a woman on the other side of the world. I moved from the United States to Australia. I became part of a family I never expected to have. And somewhere along the way, I started learning some pretty big lessons about love, patience, vulnerability and what it really means to belong.
Now, six years later, I'm back.
In this first episode of F*** Divorce: The Next Chapter, I'm sharing the story of what happened after the podcast went quiet. From falling in love across an ocean to facing the uncertainty of becoming a stepdad, I reflect on the moments that changed me and the lessons I didn't know I needed to learn.
I talk about the fear of finding your place in a family, the moment I finally felt like I belonged, and how learning to understand my own emotions has changed the way I love the people around me.
Looking back, there are things I wish I could tell the person I was six years ago. Things about pain, fear, growth and the unexpected places life can take you.
The biggest thing?
It was worth it. All of it.
This is F*** Divorce: The Next Chapter. It's good to be back.
Getting divorced sucks. Being divorced doesn’t.
