Playing together with Orchestra F Major Scale With The Tale Teller One Octave ABRSM Free Download.
hi telltalers welcome to our first challenge class of the day here at telltale kids and the performing arts free school um we're going to do grade 2 the scales and we're going to work this week we're going to spend a few days on the grade 2 section this is the abrsm book um we're going to look at f major a major and b flat major today but i'll split the lessons up so that you can access them individually that's by far and away the best way and i think the the nicest way to practice these is with the string section so i've roped um claudine in once again to be our accompaniment our accompanist for today um so let's talk about first of all i'm going to put her on in the background just hear that slightly i think when when we're playing strings we really should at all times have um some sort of oral uh key to to cling on to um but she's not very loud at mode because i'm going to just tell you the fingering so we're starting on an f is an f major scale only one octave guys not too much to think about so we've got an f with four
a g with open uh an a with one and look we've got a b flat so it's two and then four for the c
now you should have all your fingers down to remember how we learn we don't use one thing we use the whole hand and that just helps it really helps imprint in our heads a much better way of fingering so there's the c cross strings to that d and then you can lift and release and move along ready for the e with one and the f with two
and then we're going to come back down again because our fingers are nicely organized
and open across with c and that lovely b flat and then one
and then that open g
and it's nice across don't forget to keep that bow nice and straight okay now i've got a few tips for you if you practice really slowly from right at the frog
all the way down
straight down to the tip it's going to really help your bow movements and then you just twist around make sure that elbow's nice and straight for that g and so on and so forth a really really good way to remind yourself how to get a really lovely beautiful tone okay so let's um increase that volume a little
and play the scale this is the separate bow patterns method
um
especially if you've been doing different you know if you've been working on triplets for example and a beautiful dreamer we're doing the dreamer or three minutes on one bone movement and that can be a bit tricky so imagine really concentrated
okay it's terribly pretty isn't it when you're in perfect tune with the string section this is why people love the orchestra so much so i'll leave that running a little so that you can play without me and i advise you do it once you separately and then the next time
okay guys i hope that was enough backing for you can always replay the recording um so uh do um download the apps if you um if you're really keen to follow the uh the sort of grades or the suzuki method or any of the other styles that we're doing we're doing jazz we're doing blues and then you'll get updates you see and you can follow the lessons it's much easier to do that it's quite hard once you lose track to sort of re-establish but i try to label everything as it's labeled in the books that we're using so you know if you just scoot around you you hopefully you'll be able to find stuff you can always drop me a line and ask and i can link you up with one of the classes okay so um i'll be back in a minute with a major how exciting
