Today's theme is solving the right problems, which is really what I do frankly in all the businesses that I work with where I walk my clients through: Solving the right problems Why it's not the right problem How to solve the right problem Why this is a common challenge business owners or even employees have A Case Study: I'm in a mastermind group and one of the guys brought up the new branding they've done on their new website, spending tons of money, having a new sales process and the whole work. It's been a couple of months but they're not getting any traction and thinks the salespeople aren't doing a good job. So I asked some questions to dig into this: What problem are you trying to solve? What is the actual problem? How do you think it's breaking down? What specific problems need to be addressed? Is the new website not getting enough people into the top of the funnel or as many as it did before thus it affects the things at the bottom? Are the people coming to the new website not getting the information they need? When you release a new website or have a new brand or new sales, there are lots of places that this could be faulty and how you know where the problem is could be fascinating. Ultimately, we discovered that the problem was not getting enough qualified sales leads coming in because they didn't have enough business development time set aside to go out and acquire these things.   Key takeaways: Understand the reasons behind the problem you're solving. Have the right metrics, tools, and software in place to be able to monitor, track, and have to be aware of them.
