For the 71st episode of my Ibiza’s Sound On Air series, I dedicate this mix to a production duo that has deeply inspired me: Kings of Tomorrow.

Many of the tracks featured in this mix take me back to a CD from 1997 that I used to listen to over and over again. Their music had a strong influence on me back then and still accompanies me today.

What makes Kings of Tomorrow so special to me is the unique combination of powerful, groovy and punchy beats, mostly soulful vocals, and a blend of smooth, warm or jazzy sounds. This mixture gives their productions a very distinctive character and makes them, in my opinion, one of the finest production names in house music.

This tribute mix is not only a musical journey back to a very important time for me, but also a homage to a sound that has lost none of its impact over the years.

Enjoy Ibiza’s Sound On Air #71 – Kings of Tomorrow Tribute Mix.

A musical tribute to my friend Samy aka Benotmane

Samy, it's been five years since we received the sad news of your passing. The memory of you remains in our hearts. When I learned that our friend such an incredibly talented and lovable person was no longer with us, it felt like the world stood still.

You were a master of electronic music, creating pieces that were eight minutes or longer, taking us on journeys through rich soundscapes and emotions. Your music, filled with melody and harmony, was always surprising and ahead of its time. There's no doubt you would have been one of the greats.

I often think about the many wonderful and fun moments we shared with our friends. You always had a smile on your face and could make anyone laugh. Samy, your death was a loss for all of us, but your music lives on and reminds us of you.

Words aren't my strong suit, so I'll let your music speak for itself.

We will never forget you, my friend.
