Alright friends, I am about to call some BS on a common phrase and word of advice-Fake it till you make.

In this episode, I am calling out this sentiment that spins illusions and bypasses your lived experience and calling in a new one that fosters connection, trust and your personal power to design a life on your own terms.

Fake it till you make it…

• Creates an illusion and a false sense of connection

• It's inauthentic and creates distrust

• Removes self responsibility and accountability

• Ignores the natural feelings that may arise

• Dismisses your strength and personal power

While we are at it, let's call out another saying that needs to go: Faith it till you make.

Faith it till you make it…

• Inserts blind trust

• Disconnects from the work

• Desensitizes your feelings

• Pivots you away from the opportunity to take action

Here's what I propose: Face it till you make it.

Face it till you make it…

• Is a radical act of self love because you are showing up regardless and forging ahead

• Encourages you to show up for yourself DESPITE the doubt

• Acknowledges that you may not have all the answers, confidence or outcomes but you are showing up with an openness and willingness to get there.

• Builds trust, acceptance and courage through your relentless and consistent pursuit

• Requires imperfect action
