‘Face Reader’ sweeps Grand Bell Awards

영화 관상, 대종상 6관왕

Director Han Jae-rim’s period drama “The Face Reader” swept six awards at this year’s Grand Bell Awards including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Director and Best Supporting Actor. The film tells the story of a man who can tell one’s personality and future by looking at their face, and gets involved in a coup d’etat led by the Grand Prince Suyang, who later became king Sejo, in 1450s Joseon. The drama was a huge commercial success, drawing more than 9 million viewers.

한재림 감독이 연출한 영화 ‘관상’이 올해 대종상 시상식에서 최우수작품상, 남우주연상, 감독상, 남우조연상 등 총 6관왕을 휩쓸었다.

이 영화는 사람의 성격과 미래를 관상을 통해 내다보는 천재 관상가의 이야기로 1450년 조선시대 세조왕이 된 수양대군의 쿠테타를 배경으로 한 내용이다. 관상은 900만 관객을 동원하며 흥행에 성공했다.
