Encounters Part 4 | Friday, April 3, 2026 | Good Friday
Pastor Bria Bradshaw
One encounter with Jesus can change the direction of your entire life.
Face to Face With Love
Is 53:4-6 (ESV) Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Is 53:10a (ESV) Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him; he has put him to grief, when his soul makes an offering for guilt, he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days; the will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
Ask: Where are you saying “I Love You” to me right now?
Ask: Where have I hindered your “I Love You” from being said to the people you’ve placed me with right now?
Christ has no body but yours,
No hands, no feet on earth but yours,
Yours are the eyes with which he looks
Compassion on this world,
Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good,
Yours are the hands, with which he blesses all the world.
Yours are the hands, yours are the feet,
Yours are the eyes, you are his body.
Christ has no body now but yours,
No hands, no feet on earth but yours,
Yours are the eyes with which he looks
compassion on this world.
Christ has no body now on earth but yours.
-St. Teresa of Avila
(Chad - These two below will be during Communion)
The Bread - “I receive this bread as the gift of Christ’s body, broken for me. As I receive, I am made whole, and I become part of His risen body, joined with His people.
The Cup - “I receive this cup as the gift of Christ’s blood, poured out for me. As I receive, I am forgiven, and I am sent to live His love, poured out for others.
