God didn't actually expect the people of Israel to fight giants and win, did He? Well, He wasn't surprised by their faithlessness when they were too afraid to enter the Promised Land. Nor is He surprised by our faithlessness when we let our fears stop us from sharing the Gospel. And yet, He still intends for His gospel to go out and convert the nations, and His people are His chosen messengers.
